Rescuing "old" raw dairy from the kitchen drain
How to recycle this valuable substance - no matter how sour it is.
This may surprise some of you:
Our raw dairy never goes bad. our milk and cream simply sour. Since they are raw products, they never rot.
Pasteurized products, which are devoid of enzymes, rot. We do not sell dead, pasteurized products.
What can you do if your milk or cream (or other products) begin to sour?
There are a number of uses:
- Milk and cream can be made into kefir or yogurt, for human or animal consumption.
- Milk can be made into a simple clabber cheese, for human or animal consumption. The leftover whey can be made into a fertilizer or yummy & nutritious summer drink. Read this article for the recipe.
- Any sour raw dairy product can be fed to dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, etc.
- Any sour raw dairy product is an incredible fertilizer for the compost pile, lawn, or garden. (If you are applying it directly, dilute with water and spread) Here is a link with some ideas.
Will you work with us to keep this incredible product out of kitchen drains and trashcans?
It is our hope that this nutrient-dense, extremely valuable substance will never be "tossed".
Our rotationally-moved, regeneratively-raised, beyond-organic cows (and the farmers who move them and care for them, and lovingly grow grass for them) worked very hard to create something 100% bioavailable and full of life.
We believe that this dairy can be very easily and beneficially given back to nature - either through you, your pets, your chickens, or through the soil itself.
